This last one didn’t turn out well, but it’s so dang cute!

Festival of Lights

We took the older girls to see the lights at the zoo yesterday; we decided that they would be old enough to appreciate it this year. Our oldest loved it, but our two-year old refused to be impressed. Still, it was a pretty good time. 

The pictures are far from spectacular, what with the combination of low lighting and impatient toddlers (and my lack of practice with such conditions), but here they are!

 

 

Happy St. Nicholas Day!

Growing up, my family didn’t start decorating for Christmas until the 23rd or 24th. We did, however, set out our stockings on the night of December 5th, in preparation for St. Nick’s visit the next morning.

I always hated having to wait so long to decorate. So in addition to setting out stockings on December 5th, my little family also sets up the tree!
